Direct Drive(Quartz & servo)) with acrylic dust cover. Tonearem comes with unspecified MM Stanton cartridge.
Price is 126,00 Japanese Yen $1,066.00 +/-
33 1/3, 45, 78 rpm.
wow and flatter - 0.1% or less
S/N ratio - -70db or less
Speed stabiity is within 0.003%+/-. Probably the most impressive spec.
Motor - Direct Drive mech and speed will stabalize within 0.3 secs.
Aluminum diecast platter
unit weight - 22.9 lbs with dust cover.
I'm not really sure of which segment of market they were planning to penetrate, but it's no Cash Cow. If anything, that product is a Dog. Of course this is my point of view as a consumer in US. I do understand that Japanese Audiophiles just can't get enough of Marantz gears in general. Where they just trying to steal some of Technic's market share under their brand?
