well first off, this is my first post here, so a big hello to everyone :)

down to business!

i've decided i am going to make my own subwoofer, and i've decided on an adire audio shiva as my driver. i see it has quite a variety of recommendations for enclosures, from sealed to ported, but my question is this: has anyone here used one, and if so, how did you set it up? also, what hz should i tune it to? i'm not really concerned about box size, but it will be in a small room, so the smaller the better.

here is the link to the driver and enclosure details (http://www.adireaudio.com/Files/ShivaTechSummary.PDF)

i have an old sony reciever that will run it, something like 70 watts rms to each 8 ohm voice coil. (x2) it will receive an LFE signal, obviously split into the two channels.

thanks for your input!

EDIT: sorry, this shoulda been in DIY...
