I received my speakers today, and after an hour of testing heard static/
feedback from 1 speaker, traced the noise to the woofer, and then one
by one unplugged each driver. With each driver on it's own I discovered
no output from the super tweeter, low output from the midrange, the
tweeter seemed ok. All wiring inside the cabinet looks ok, as does the
crossover by looking at it, I have no way to check the board itself. I
plugged in a surround speaker and it is ok on that wire. All the drivers look
normal from the front and back. I'm guessing there's a short somewhere,
but why did it play at all. I guess the midrange and tweeter probably
never were working, I was hearing the other speaker (which is okay)
I think. I may do the elimination trip on that one too. Any idea what
this could be, I have no problem sending them in for bench testing, put
if I can fix it, that would be better. Thanks in advance.
