So, I was browsing Blockbuster's used dvds today and stumbled across a rarity. They had the 2000 dvd release of Wes Craven's Swamp Thing for $7.99. I knew by the packaging that it wasn't the 2005 re-issue, so I quickly snapped it up. Popped it in the dvd player and sure enough, Barbeau's boobies! Now, I'm not a huge fan of the film, except for nastalgic purposes. I've seen this version selling on Amazon for a hundred bucks (one man's trash...), so I was wondering. Do I hold onto it as a collector's item? Will it increase in value, or will they get smart and release the uncut version in the future? Ebay is calling my name...
