So, I decided to boost the gain by 20 dbs by switching my Phono-Pre to MC from MM setting. I must admit that sound isnt as refined as recommended setting when compared at similar volume.
Would I experience potentially harmful outcome in near future? I love how I can blast music on this setting doe.....

I've been doing this with my Phonomena pre for about a year now and have not noticed any degradation. If this is problematic, I'd like to know as well. Anyone?
