Would you guys pull the trigger on one of these? Found one at a consignment shop today, $ 100.00. The tech had not tested, it was a consignment. ???. I probably should have left with it...

The switches on the front panel are worth more than that!

No need to rip the switches out... This one seems to work fine. Lights. Meters. Sound. Cosmetics are great, no scratches on the front. $100.00. Excellent. Can't wait to give it a new home!
This will power the newly-reworked Vandersteen 2Ce's in the basement, centerpiece of my vintage stuff.

Got the rack handles, too. Big, fat die cast ones. This unit is a beast.

So, did you hook it up? Tell us how it sounds with the Vandersteens!

you did a real good buy with that, $100!!! that's nothing compared to it's actual worth!

The KA-9100 is an awesome amp. I had a friend who Deejayed in some pretty big venues with one during around 1977-1979. It sounded much more powerful and effortless than its 95 w.p.c. rating.

I have 3 KA-9100's and 2 KA-9150's (euro version) 3 of them are fully working and I love 'em. Good price on that 9100 find. The only thing is the output amp modules are obsolete so replacements are hard to find. So be careful not to short the outputs while it's running.
A little peak at some stuff. :16:

I just fished a 9150 out of the recycling at work. Hope it works, it's a heavy sucker.

This one thankfully looks different from the Kenwood Audio Purist integrated I had many years ago which was so bad I gave it away. The audio purist had weird rectangular knobs under a strange glass front cover.
