Wicker Man Remake

So is anyone else as anti-excited as me about the unncessary and most likely to fail remake of the cult classic WICKER MAN?

While the original film had some minor problems I doubt that the remake could pull together the story any better. My guess is that it will be similar to the remake of INSOMNIA, which changed some of the details and ending in order to make it appeal to those wanting a happy ending.

Anyone else have any perceptions?

I think it could go either way. Nic Cage has appeared in some of my favorite films, so I'll give it a shot. I've been thinking about renting the original, because I've never seen it. Is it worth buying? Is it horror or drama? I like the horror flicks from the late '60s, '70s era like Rosemary's Baby, The Omen, and so on. From what I've read, there are at least two versions available, so which one?
