My first post here. I've been looking for the best deals on Klipsch speakers and this place has everyone beat by a long shot. My concern is the very low prices and so many counterfiets are being shipped in from China. Does anybody have experience with this store? I see they are not an authorized dealer, but claim to honor the original warranties.

Some of their policies and warranty info are at this link.

I deal in guitars and have seen a rash of fake Gibson and Ibanez Steve Vai guitars coming from China that are dead on copies but very poor quality. Maybe this is the same deal. $650 for a pair of Klipsch RF-82 shipped from NY to SC sound way too good to be true. Any recommended stores would be appriciated.

I'm not doubting that, he has two sites. But are his products and prices legit?

I am always cautious when dealling with any dealer from New York or New Jersey. There are a lot of lousy operations using multiple names. Their customer service and prompt shipping record can be dreadful. This is not to badmouth excellent dealers like B&H and JR to mention a couple.

I don't think this dealer is selling fake products. I feel it is more likely that you will be immediately billed on your credit card (do not under any circumstance use a debit card!!!) and have lots of trouble EVER getting your product. These operations use lots of different names to keep us folks and the ratings websites confused. Not worth the potential problems. I buy almost all my gear, HT, Photo, Computer, etc. online but I am very cautious. If it doesn't have at least a four star rating from a site like PriceGrabber. com (many other comparative shopping sites) with at least 100 ratings I don't buy. Legitimate dealers will not bill your credit card intil they ship.

I did a quick check on the internet and this is the lowest price I could find from a very reputable dealer for the cherry finish:

^ Well said. Another, and very simple way way of looking at those prices, is the old saying: "If the deal is too good to be true, it probably is."

Another thing that tips you off that these discounters are not legit: You will notice that most of them do not disclose their physical address, and those that do are phony. For example, check out the "Corporate/Warehouse" link on audiophileliquidators.com, and plug any of the "corporate" addresses or "warehouse" addresses into Google map--none of them are legitimate: they either don't exist, they are empty lots, or they are residential addresses.

I've tried this with an entire list of discounters (you can get one on the bryston.com website of unauthorized dealers whose merchandise they refuse to service under warranty) same story--either no addresses or phony addresses on their websites.
