On a more realistic note this time, scientists estimate that a massive solar event (flare) may occur in the near future that could devistate our energy transmission systems. Solar flares occur frequently as seen by the aurora borealis, but a much larger event is said to be very possible. This was brought to my attention one night while watching discovery.

Apparently the coronal mass ejection of an event this size can induce enough emf to fry all active power transmission transformers around the globe, this can't be good news for our audio equip. should we be rocking out at the time. Maybe Monster will catch wind of this and start marketing coronal mass ejection protection units.:cornut:
