Placement of unshieded speakers near plasma screen

I have a pair of old M&K S1B unshielded speakers and a little Velodyne subwoofer in my office. I am going to add a 42" plasma screen but due to the architectural limits (private entry door, door to a lanai and door to secretary workstation/waiting area) of my office the M&K's will have sit just an inch or two on each side of the screen. I recall that unshielded speakers were not to be placed close to a tube TV. What effect will unshielded speakers have on plasma screen?
