Ok, not sure where to place this thread, but always enjoy getting into interesting conversations with people regarding the art of music videos...let's name some of the best and worst music videos of all time....

Just about any Beastie Boys video is a 'best video ever!'

I'll agree with your worst videos, and then add just about any rap or hip-hop video made in the last 10 years with a few exceptions.

Some of my favorite videos off the top of my head:

Tool - Sober. Groudbreaking. You could insert 'any Tool video' here because now they are about all the same, but Sober was the original.

Mastodon - Seabeast. Very cool video, very well done.

Rush - Distant Early Warning. Probably mostly because it was my introduction to Rush back in 1984, but I'll never forget that kid riding the rocket!

Queensryche - Eyes Of a Stranger. Great song, great video. The video just fits the song.

Radiohead - Karma Police. Any Radiohead video is great, but KP is my fave.

Worst Video's.. Since I'm old enough to remember liffe BEFORE MTV this isn't too bad.

1. "Dancing on the Ceiling" Lionel Ritchie - Oh my friggen gawd... what drivel.

2. "We Are the World" The Usual Suspects - Oh the Brits did it first and better let's just make fools of ourselves.

3. "We Built This City" Jefferson Whatever - Just go ahead and die already.

4. "Too Shy Shy" Ka Ja Goo Goo - LOL... people actually used to listen to this chite.

5. "I Ran" A Flock of Haircuts - I spit milk from my nose when I see this turd.

6. "The Safety Dance" Can't remember - Dancing medievel dwarfes now THERE'S something you don't see every day.

7. "L.A''s My Lady" Frank Sinatra - His first and LAST music video...

8. "Bad" Michael Jackson - Now wrought with double and trible entendres that I amazed I didn't see it all before.

9. "Somebodies Watching Me" Some A-Hole - Proof positive that at one point if Michael Jackson sang the phone book it would've been a hit.

10 "Lucky in Love" Mick Jagger - Sad, sad, sad....

That's 10 off the top of my head.

Have you ever seen the full-length director cut of BAD? It's clearly a Martin Scorsese piece, but thankfully he is doing motion pictures instead of music videos....two different types of art.

...any video from Whitesnake?

Or Courtney Love's amazing inability to lip synch to her own voice?

Or any Blink 182 video

Or that stupid Green Day video about September Ending that tries so F'n hard to be controversial but doesn't really say anything or take a stance on the war - F'n pussies!

Or that stupid Numb video by U2

Or that creepy Crazy video by Aerosmith that makes you wonder if Steve knows Liv is his daughter?

Or every damn thing Justin Timberlake touches

Or that puke-fest video with Jennifer Love Hewitt and that Iglesias bastard!

Or any stupid video by U2 for that matter.

...don't even get me started on that fat white-trash Toby Keith slob....
