OK, here's my setup for new home theater system:
Arcam AVR300
Arcam DV79
Cambridge Azur 640H music manager
Ed Frias speakers (probably EFE T22)
Now I need to pick out inceiling speakers for the back of the theater system, actually the great room in new house I am building. I will also need inceilings in several other rooms.
I have vaulted ceilings, will be sitting about 13 ft. from front speakers and inceiling will be behind me, plus another set of inceiling speakers in the kitchen area.
I am leaning towards Atlantic Technology ICTS6.3 or the Speakercraft AIM8.
Any opinions or recommendations?

I don't think in walls should be dismissed out of hand. There are lots of good reasons to use them.

The only experience I have is with Sonance (www.sonance.com). I put them in a McMansion with vaulted ceilings and they were really nice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I've used them in some of my living spaces just because I want music but don't want the intrusiveness of having equipment arranged around my furniture.

Many sound surprisingly good
