Hello,
I've just found an ad for a VMPS smaller sub (12 inch woofer, 15 inch passive radiator) for $200 CDN. I've heard good things about these subs, but the downside ifor me is they are passive. I have an Adcom 535II amp I could use to power it. Two questions, before I go look at it, today hopefully:
1. Would this be a substantial improvement over my Paradigm PS-1000 V4?
2. How would this hook up to my Denon AVR-1603 receiver's sub out? Would I need the Adcom amp and its matching preamp hooked in together, or just the power amp and use the sub level control on the receiver to control the volume?
