CD Changer Problem

I have a Sony CDP C77ES CD Changer (5 disc carousel type). It played normal all these years just until today when I noticed after loading the CD in the tray and upon closing it, it doesn't recognize that there is a disc in there. It says "NO DISC" (whether it is in Continuous Play or Single Play mode) and I hear a click..click click. I turned off the power and turned it back on (even unplugged it, and plugged it back in) to reset it, but still nothing.

Any of you guys experience the same problem on a carousel changer, or any tips (before I sell this on the Bay for $0.99, and get me a 300 Mega Changer)? Thanks!

Sounds like the laser. Try a cleaning, if that doesn't work it may be a junker

Sounds like a great excuse to get the megachanger.
