Hey Gang,

In the next few days we will be launching a new design for AudioReview.com. It's much nicer and a updated look.

The forums will also have it's vbulletin software upgraded tomorrow (tuesday) night. You might experience a few bumps along the way, but hopefully everything goes smooth! We've been working on this for a while now, I'm excited to finally get it out the door!

Hey Gang,

Cool AR main page Eric.

I hope some of old members remember that for a long time, there used to be a picture of girl with a headphone on AR’s main page.
Does this picture give you any idea Eric :D

Girl with the headphones... Now you're talking old school, my man. That's circa 1999. That girl had that haunting look and you just had to keep going back to visit here. I found a copy here:

Good history here:

The re-design has slowed down your website tremendously

The lght blue/grey subject headings on the white background are hard for me to read with these old eyes . Perhaps something with a bit more contrast. say dark, dark blue or black?.

My eyes aren't that old and I agree 100%. The contrast is almost as bad as the grey on silver on my Cambridge equipment which is, for intensive purposes, unintelligible.

Mark and Topspeed, I'm not sure what text area you are referring to..

Hey Eric, thanks for changes. It look great.

I think Mark and Speed talk about the text font on the main Forum page (the headings/links). It is kind of grayish, but probably look better (and easier to read) if it was darker.

Also is it possible to make text fonts (post/replies) little bit larger (or bolder). I can not change the font size via InternetExplorere font menu.

BTW, way to go on smilies :9:

I hope this site smooths out in load up time - it took about 2x -3x longer to load than it used to. Maybe some sight hicups - Graphics look good , but the colors I think might be under consideration for rethinking . hot link cyan coloron grey-blue backgrounds???????
please rethink the color schemes you need more contrasts . An no I am not blind , cripple or crazy!!! well 2 out of 3 ain't too bad Cheers! Life

Hey Eric, I've been away from my computer for a bit. I like the new look. I really like the light grey background while reading threads. It is alot easier on the eyes then that white background. Anyways, good job making this site look good and modern at the same time.

The site had its own character in way. The white background was a nice clean simple look. This one new one just looks like any old other forum using any ol forum template out there.

Oh well. I dont like. But I do enjoy the topics and galleries, reviews. You just lost you're unique-ness.

The main homepage has no grid, its bad. Its crammed and looks lopsided. those big buttons, where'd you get that idea from, does it fit well with AR? I hate it when my favorite sites go crappy. Hate it.

:confused5:

Anyways, the old site was my home away from home, so I will miss it for sure! What's the deal with the reviews now? A product will say it has 17 reviews and a score of 4.2 out of 5 but the belows it says no user reviews? Hope they fix that! RIP ols site, you will be missed.

Sorry about the double post, thought I clicked stop in time to correct the spelling error!

Gotta say, the new site so far is awful. Canot access any reviews for some products though I know they exist, only one page for other products, where I know there are several pages..

Still appears VERY buggy. Too bad, I loved the old format.

Hope AR gets the new site in shape.

Awesome! Looks like Eric fixed it. Still a little slow but all in all looks good.

As a beginner web designer, I am very interested in what has changed in the design of the site? This will be very helpful for my experience.

I agree with you. It is inconvenient when you just got used to the design of the site and it completely changes. I would have liked it if the design had changed, but the interface remained the same. I especially like it when the site is designed in a Star Wars style. It is very fashionable and relevant. I saw Star Wars PowerPoint templates on https://masterbundles.com/star-wars-powerpoint-templates/ and was impressed. I'm a fan of the Star Wars movie so I love everything I associate with this movie.
