Question regarding Sansui AU-717

I recently came into possession of a matched set of a Sansui amplifier and a Sansui Stereo Tuner. I have a "slightly" newer set of speakers that includes a pair of paradigm speakers and a paradigm subwoofer. My question is this. Is there any way to safely hook up the subwoofer?

I've actually decided that I might need to have the amplifier worked on. One of the channels shuts down sometimes and its near (note i said near b/c it IS possible) impossible to get it to come back on. How much does this kind of service usually cost?
