CD Player Questions

I am currently looking to put together a nice, midrange stereo audio setup. I have seen advertisements for CD players with vacuum tube output stages, and am not quite sure what this is supposed to accomplish. Is it recommended to look into these units? One in particular was very nice looking, but this also has no bearing on output quality. I was wondering in anyone has heard the Oberon units, and if they are worth looking into. Any help would be great!
