If you were going bo buy a used power amplifier, at the same price range, and you had a B&K ST-2140 and a Rotel RB-980BX (predecessor of the RB-1070), which would you chose?
This is my dilemma today, so any input is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Demetrio.

It depends on what you're driving and which sounds better to you. B&K's tend to roll-off the top end a bit more than Rotel, so if your speakers lean towards the bright side, the 2140 might be a nice fit. B&K's are known as warm, even lush sounding amps whereas the Rotels are more neutral comparitively. Both are well regarded and very durable. You can't go wrong with either, IMO.
Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
My speakers are Paradigm Monitor 9 and I think they tend to sound a bit bright indeed.
