Several of the other forums I visit that use this same software have set it up with the "Now Playing" feature activated to highlight whatever album is playing at the moment of the post. I think it would be an obvious and nice addition here. I've posted the request to Chris in the Forum-Forum. If you think it would be a good idea perhaps you could add your voice to my own.

I don't understand. I looked at the link in your other post and checked out a thread there but didn't see any now playing highlights. Can you give a link to a specific post? Also, their software isn't the same as this - they use phpBB 2.0.6 and this site uses vBulletin Version 3.0.0.

This thread has some of the NP posts: http://electroculturemagazine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1556#1556

This forum also has the feature although it's not widely used from the looks of it. http://www.radiomute.com There is a thread here where it's used: http://www.radiomute.com/t7948.html It shows up as "Listened to"
I also notice at the bottom of the page that it says powered by Vbulletin 2000-03 so I don't think it's a stretch to say that it could probably be done here.

I hope the links work. I didn't realize that it was different software. It looks a bit different but functionally it seems the same so I just figured...

Anyway, your first post-welcome!

How does it work? Is there a "Now Playing" text box in the reply window that you fill out?

Hey, I was distracted for a few minutes while replying and you must have edited your post in the meantime! Anyway, thanks for the welcome, but I'm actually just flying incognito at the moment. Not much of a disguise though, as some already know me as

NP: Clutch - Pure Rock Fury A friend gave me a copy because he remembers from way back when (1995) me kinda hyping their debut. I never followed up on their later albums figuring they would all sound too samey. Guess I was kinda wrong 'cause they've gotten heavier but without losing their personality. Good stuff and definitely more hardcore than metal, still :) Kinda surprised by the piss-poor sonics though since the debut doesn't sound bad. Yeah well, it's the content that matters.

Oh, and I didn't miss the point of the post. I'd like a NP: feature as well. I think Barsuk's forum has it (but that place is always slow so I don't go there anymore).

Uh, I have a feeling that may not be that person's first post here. Just a hunch.

That Now Playing thing looks like a pretty cool feature, but I never listen to music on my computer, so I guess it doesn't matter. I didn't know something like that even existed.

Edit: WTF?? Neither Intruder's last post nor Slosh's post was there when I posted this. That clock feature on this software really needs to get fixed (or whatever is wrong with it).

Yeah, I agree!!!!!!! I thought this new software update was supposed to fix some of the bugs but it seems worse than before. Guess they must still be beta testing here. Probably better not to ask for more features Jim, at least until they have time to fix some of the current bugs :)

Well then if Intruder isn't a brand new face I'm going to guess Davey based on the smiley and the fact that he hasn't changed his moniker in about a month, so he must be due.

I don't listen to much music on the PC either but my office (not that I really need an office much at the moment) is adjacent to the master bedroom. Just need to nudge the volume up a little bit.

When I've seen the NP feature in action there's just been a little box to fill in and the software handles the rest. I'd agree with you though that attention should be directed to fixing the time bug before something else. That gets annoying.

Hey, Jim -- why don't we just implement the Now Playing feature ourselves? Here, I'll play:

'cuz I want the software to do it all easy, nice, neat and standardized.
