Rave Recs Post of the Year?

No, not this one, that's for sure! But can you think of one that really got the community around here excited? I just did a quick check by clicking the Views button and selecting from the last year and the biggest thread in 2005 was a fairly recent one titled "Best complete album" at http://forums.audioreview.com/showthread.php?t=14289 and looking through it, I'm not even really involved except to ask Alan how he liked the Richmond Fontaine album. Oh well, there don't appear to have been many big 2005 threads based on number of views, which isn't too surprising. Snowbunny did a fun one not too long ago about revealing personal info that went on for awhile with a lot of silliness at http://forums.audioreview.com/showthread.php?t=14133 and there was a more serious one by Mr MidFi recently that got a lot of response and thought time titled "The single best album of the past 10 years" at http://forums.audioreview.com/showthread.php?t=15156 but can't think of too many others. How about funny posts? Remember any that stand out? I know Finchy and Troy probably made a few. And Sloshy is always good for a funny one-liner. And Snowbuns cracks me up constantly. But it's all kind of a blur.

Looks like your guitar man thread is running in contention right now fo post of the year, what with all the mushy accolades and heartwarming stories flowing so freely. Doesn't anyone know how to start an argument around here anymore!!?? Sheesh!

Year end comp, eh? That's so last month! Hey, I was just listening to Sloshy's 2004 comp and it's a lot better than I remembered. Except for one song I don't like, but the rest is solid stuff! There's things on there that I'm just now getting around to exploring. He's so far ahead of the curve ;)

And hey, I left out a category for best street teamer of the year! If no one else steps up to the plate, I'm gonna take this one home for my mantle. I nominate my "There will be snacks, there will" (http://forums.audioreview.com/showthread.php?t=14654) thread! It has the whole ball of earwax. Cute images, poetic lyrics, insightful analysis, silly name calling, and pictures of Snowbunny and her cute new fella ... and much more. Snacks! But then again, I might get nudged out by the sheer number of times that Slosh has mentioned that damn Rogue Wave.
