I will be. I enjoy the series, and the movie was very good. I kind of got the feeling that the movie finished some of what the writer had planned for the series before it was canceled early. It's full of action.

I believe 17.99. At least that's what their website says. So does CC. Walmart and Target was like 16.98. Seems to have alot of extras.

i absolutely loved the series and the movie. i have firefly already and will defn get serenity. i thought it was a very underrated movie and didnt get the press or publicity it should have. far, far, far better than any of the star wars prequels. the series is defn worth checking out as well as it will give you even more insights into some very small (but significant, imo) details in the movie.

Good flick, I was one of the few that actually saw it in the theater. Of course, it was the really crappy joint that is jokingly referred to as the "porn theater" by locals. Hard seats, flat floors, tiny little screen, just a horrible place.

I loved the movie anyway........so I will get the DVD. I was going to get it the other night but they only had the full screen. F-ing Wal-mart. :(

I watched the first hr than put on LOTR. The sound was good, and the story was ok from what I saw, I just really wanted to finish LOTR:FOTR. That's my life for now, watching what I can when I get a chance.

I watch this flick NewYears Eve with Family and it was ok nothing to right home about, but that may be due that I never saw the series. The story line had potential, but toward the end the girl knew she had these abilities to fight did not need code word to do it. When she could have kicked butt through the rest of the film after the bar fight. The Captain was a bit wishy washy to me hard one minute then couldn't come back with a decent respones when told another crew member wanted command. And how do you recover from a crushing throat blow not being able to speak to giving the command to stand down within a matter of minutes. And the captain was no real match for that guy, it would have been better if the girl would have fought him.

SciFi Channel is show a marathon of Firefly today, so I'm taking this time to get a better understanding of this saga. I'm glad to see they were able to keep all of the cast members from the TV show for the movie, But the show is like watching Star Trek crossed with Bonaza.

check out, just to be sure, the order in which they air the episodes. not sure if they are following the original fox airdates or the joss whedon order. the dvds are arranged ala the order that joss whedon originally intended for the show to be sent out, but fox decided in their ultimate wisdom to change that around to how they saw fit. i think the sci-fi channel would honor the whedon order, but ya never know. i can check the dvd and post the order of the episodes if ya want.

I bought it and watched it and really enjoyed it. However while looking at it I began to think something is funny. I thought this was a film, but it is really a television movie. It had a funny look to it that threw me off at first. The gifted woman(could that also be interpreted as nuts?) really kicked some man eating flesh butt. Pretty good movie IMO

It really is more of a TV movie, albeit a very well-produced TV movie. It looks a lot more like the Firefly than I thought it would. Of course, I suppose that's necessity due to the shoestring budget.

BTW, the gifted woman IS nuts. The opening scene in the lab established that the mental conditioning done to her caused her to have a fractured reality.

Watch the show a little more. They messed with that girl's head big time.
