Watcha been listening to these days, old man?

And speaking of Nasty Boy. Is anyone here actually a fan of NOTORIOUS B.I.G.?

Is this ghetto music?

Nasty Boy

Uhh I go on and on and on and
we'll take um to the crib and let your bone in
Easy call em on the phone and
platinum Chanel cologne and
I stay dressed to impress
Spark these *****es interest
Sex is all I expect
if they watch TV in the Lex they know
They know quarter past fo'
Left the club tipsy say no mo'
except how I'm gettin home tomorrow
Caesar drop you off when he see his P.O. uhh
Back of my mind I hope she swallow (uh-huh)
Man, she spilled a drink on my cream Wallows
Reach the gate, hungry just ate
Riffin, she got to be to work by eight
This must mean she ain't tryin to wait
Conversate, sex on the first date I state
"You know what you do to me"
She starts, "Well but I don't usually"
then I, whipped it out, rubber no doubt
Step out, show me what you all about
Fingers in your mouth, open up your blouse
Pull your G-string down South, aoowww
Threw that back out, in the parking lot
By a Cherokee and a green drop-top
And I don't stop, until I squirt
Jeans skirt butt-naked it all work
I remember we, went to Tennessee
Then we came home, mad messages was on my phone
***** named Symone
Screamin, she feenin, for the semen
Me bein, the man that I am
Took her to her condo, pronto
Half indian, I called her Tonto
Rolled a crom-crom in the dark, pronto
Few puffs, eyes got low
and off to the bedroom we go *mmmmmm*
Sex is drama, head to trauma
Rip pajamas I'ma stay to tomorrow
Satisfyin all my needs twice
With some whipped cream, handcuffs and ice
The ***** is nice, word is born
Can't wait to put my *****z on, what, what?
Ladies, my Mercedes
Hold fo' in the back, two if it's fat
Keep a gat, for cats that try to test me
They just fans like DeNiro, Wesley
Let's see, the ***** I'm waitin on
Gaudy years jeans look like they painted on
Ask thee, leave it up to me
Lay her on back ever so gently
She like the way the dope fold up, Rolls roll up
Cristal just throw up, ***** grow up
Hold up, there's DeGenero
Dripped out, iceberg Capero
Intro goes without speaking
Call me Caese cause I keep em, we can go freakin
all weekend, so, roll in
Ain't it good that my Lex seats foldin? Uhh

If you figure it out, please tape it and send me a DVD of it. Or send me a DVD of you trying, even if you don't figure it out. :)

Heheheh... I see the future Mrs. Stone hasn't been made aware of this site. ;)

I figure I'll wait for a really cold day with lots of static electricity in the air. :p

I have no idea what this thread is about

Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just that I don't know what to post. I do miss old chrisnz, though. Is he still hanging around at all? I wonder what his top sounds of this year are? He was one of the first people I talked to here way back in the day when we traded best of lists at the end of 1999. Gawd, I wonder what I was listening to back then? [see edit] Anyway, in 2005 he probably liked MIA a lot. I wonder if he got a chance to hear Isolée Wearemonster or Lightning Bolt Hypermagic Mountain. I didn't. I think he liked Hood's Outside Closer which I still haven't heard yet either, even though their last one was a great big favorite and still is.

Is Dave Geezer back as Kansas? Hehehe, hope it's going a little bit better recently Dave! And I see that CZed even stopped by for Christmas. Wow! BTW, anyone that wants a copy of my Holiday Mixer just say. It's just my top 10 this year and it has an upbeat first half and melancholy second half, but I wasn't kidding when I said that I made too many copies ;)

:)

EDIT:

Hehehe, did a search over at Music Lane and found out what I was listening to back then and it actually was pretty respectable ;) ...

Posted by my old moniker that just happened to be my real name on October 14, 1999 at 12:20:40:

Here are a few relatively new pop/rock/jazz CDs that have been in heavy rotation on my disc spinner. I have deemed all to have both good music and good sound (unless noted otherwise). Offered in no particular order.

1. Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals - Burn To Shine (If you don't know Ben Harper it might be better to start with the outstanding previous album, The Will To Live. Can probably pick up used. Blues rock, folk rock and even some Hendrix sound on the latest.)

2. Patricia Barber - Modern Cool (Possibly the best sounding CD I have yet heard. Shows what the medium is capable of on a good rig. An instant audiophile classic but also some outstanding music. I have the previous release on LP which was far better than the CD even being a digital recording. The Modern Cool LP was supposedly cut from the analog master but I have not heard it.)

3. Cassandra Wilson - Traveling Miles (Almost as good sounding as the Patricia Barber CD. Better in some respects. Has that same giant yet intimate space as her previous release but a better recording overall and some great modern jazz.)

4. Buena Vista Social Club Presents Ibrahim Ferrer (If you liked Buena Vista Social Club this is more of the same but the recording sounds even better. Very intimate with nice resonant bass and wonderful analog like tone decays. Very nice.)

5. Belle & Sebastian - The Boy With The Arab Strap (Great pop/rock with moody melodies and thoughtful lyrics. Similar to the album by Yo La Tengo - I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One from a couple years ago which I would also heartily recommend.)

6. Moby - Play (As many styles as songs. On a couple songs he samples the vocals from some old blues numbers to great effect in a modern sound landscape.)

7. Cibo Matto - Stereo Type A (The two Japanese girls and Sean Lennon in a very diverse follow up to the great Viva La Woman. Rock, pop, rap, trip hop - it's all here.)

8. The Eels - Electro-Shock Blues (Moody, acoustic, electric, happy and sad - a late night journey you may or may not want to take.)

9. Jim O'rourke - Eureka (Previously of Gastr Del Sol but a little closer to Earth on this outing.)

10. Guided By Voices - Do The Collapse (OK, maybe not audiophile approved sound but a giant step up from their previous lo-fi recordings and some great 90s alternative rock.)

11. Cat Power - Moon Pix (Actually it is from last year but I didn't hear about it until lately. This is Chan Marshall mostly alone with her dreamy vocals and simple folk-rock backgrounds creating some very powerful music. Very good sound at times and easy to fall into late at night.)

12. Meshell Ndegeocello - Bitter (Less attitude and more real musicians and instruments than on her previous album lead to a very satisfying listening experience. Similar in some respects to the Cassandra Wilson melodic jazz style but with a little more funk at times. Great sound.)

No B.I.G. for me (although I'm curious), but I did spin Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" this past week...WOW, talk about some nasty lyrics....that one just about tops anything my pink little ears have ever heard! :o
