I recently moved to Washington State and now I need a HDTV antenna for the local networks, I'm 25 miles from Seattle with trees all around, any recomendations for a good antenna under $200.00

A well placed cheap antenna is better than the most expensive poorly place one.

Many will advise you to hoist it up into the tallest tree using a fishing rod. Pull a line up with the fishing line and get it as high as you can. Looks will not be important here. Orientation will be based on what you find on the site provided in degrees.

Any UHF antenna will work just fine. As already mentioned, use antennaweb.org to determine where the towers are at from your location. That will tell you if you need a multidirectional antenna or a Yaggi.

I am in a hilly area so I used google.earth to determine the elevation of my house and the elevation of a hill behind my house. I added about 25 feet for my house height and another 20 feet for antenna masts and determined that I could get a line of sight over the hill.

www.antennasdirect.com is very, very good but you can buy one at Sears or Radio Shack.

Expect to pay about $60 - $80 tops.
