Philips CD931

Has anybody ever had an experience with Philips CD931 CDP? It is quite an old model but I had read that the sound quality and transport is exceptional. Ofcourse it has bare minimum functions. It is available to me very cheap thru a friend. So ignoring the features and format capacities, just for 2 channel, is it really good?
