Thought I'd pass on a link to a very impressive Star Trek/Babylon 5 parody film:

http://www.starwreck.com

It's been out for a little while, but I haven't had the chance to watch it until today. It's a Finnish production, so it's subtitled. It's also over 90 minutes in length. This might lead one to let out a loud groan. But it actually has some incredibly good production values. The special effects are the equal of anything I saw on the actual TV shows. Cinematography is surprisingly accomplished as well. Even the writing is sufficiently amusing and not overdone. Given that it was made by "five students and unemployed people" (and a few hundred of their friends) in their living room with "a bit of blue linoleum and a few home computers" over a seven year period for "very close to a zero budget," it's a truly amazing result.

You'll have to let me know what you think of the film.

Of course Smith's classic epic is a favorite of mine and I can't help but note some of the similarities between the tech in the books and the tech in the audio world. (The larger the busbars used to power a starship's weapons, the better. The larger the speaker wire...)

As for color, being an audio enthusiast, I prefer to spend my time in a world where nothing is ever black and white. So naturally, my color is gray. ;)
