I think this boils down to taste and purpose. If you plan on using your hometheater for mostly movies, and you like your surround more ambient and less direct to the ears, then dipoles might be the way for you. If you plan to listen to multichannel music and well as movies, then monopoles might be the better way.

Sir T is right. Personal preference will vary from person to person. In my rather large rooms I couldn't get bipoles or dipoles to sound good to me. I've been in some homes where they seemed to work much better.
My only beef with them is the pricing scheme most manufacturers employ for them. Way too much IMO. I wonder how often price forces people's decisions?

Well Since My Preference Is Mor Towards Music Then It Definately Boils Down To Monopole...thank You
