Hi folks.
Could someone tell me whether or not a DVD video recording's audio track (not DVD-A) encoded with dolby digital or DTS at 48kHz sampling rate should sound better than a CD recorded at 44.1 kHz, everything else equal?
I guess quite simply I'm asking, does Dolby Digital or DTS sound better than CD audio?

The sampling rate will not be an issue at all. Dts and DD are perceptually coded, masked signals discarded mathematically. Certainly they cannot be equalled to Cd in ALL respects but in most cases it is very difficult to tell differences. So, I would not worry.
