C'mon, everyone out of the closet. That's it. Nothing to be afraid of.

Any comments on the winner? I really would have liked to see Mig win. Hubby had JD picked out as the winner six weeks ago. I hate it when he's right.

Sorry, we ruled MIG out two weeks ago when it was down to four. At that point, I had the blonde guy and the Mars Bar had J.D.

First, the woman was obviously out because they needed someone to sing those old hits just like the originals. That's important when you're playing the Casino circuit.

Second, MIG's singing register was too high for INXS. He's a great rock singer, but he operated better at the mid to higher register than do the other two. So, IMO, he was the hands down winner for best rock singer, but not for lead singer for INXS.

Of the other two, either of them would have worked. I thought the blonde guy would be better in music videos, and had a bit more mystique to his performances.

J.D. though had the smoothest voice and had croon appeal.

Now that the show is over, I suppose they'll be relegated back to the dust bin of rock history. See you at the casino!

IMO, MIG, the blonde guy, and the final woman should team up to start their own band. MIG plays keyboards, blonde guy plays guitars, all three sing.

On second thought, naw.

Man,i just thought the Blonde could sign that good. Always thought JD was the best all around singer that could hold a note and was a showman to. Bit of a head case.

I never thought much of the blond guy (or Marty, as his parents call him :p ). He's got very intense eyes that would be great in a video. And I do like how he handled himself when he had to sing a Brittney Spears song. But overall, I found his performances boring. He just didn't have a very good stage presence IMO.

In retrospect, I would have to agree with Barry. I think that Mig was the most talented of the bunch, but J.D. is better suited to INXS. I also became a big fan of Suzie, but knew that a woman wouldn't win this competition.

The funny thing is, I suspect that in the long run, Mig, Marty and Suzie may be better off for not winning. They have the opportunity to make their own ticket now. I suspect that Mig will return to theatre. But I wouldn't be surprised if we haven't heard the last of Suzie and Marty. In fact, if a video for Marty's song Trees isn't already in the works I'd be very surprised.

I really enjoyed this show and the format. This was way more entertaining than the shlock that gets performed on American/Canadian Idol. I hope that they find a way of continuing this show with or without INXS.

Maybe they could do a replacement thing for John and George.

At the end they invited people to apply for next year's program, so I suspect either INXS will dump J.D. for a new 2006 model to revive their careers, or they'll have to dredge up some other 1980s band with one or two hits to re-unite to play the casino circuit.
