Mansfield and Chartiers were neighboring boroughs that merged in 1894 to form Carnegie, so that philanthropist Andrew Carnegie would donate a local library. Now, towns nationwide have a chance to adopt the name Dish, in order to get free Dish Network satellite TV (http://www.dish-4-free.com) service for every household for 10 years. The change has to be legal and permanent, and has to appear on government buildings, signs and letterhead, said Englewood, Colo.-based EchoStar Communications Corp., which announced the offer Tuesday. Submissions are due Nov. 1 at CityMakeover@dishnetwork.com. The first town willing to change wins the service.
