Which would give the best image when watching 4:3 broadcasts on a widescreen tv such that the entire screen is being used (to prevent burn in)? The choices are Full, Cinema and Wide. The manual for my tv (Pioneer 1120HD) states the following:
Full - 16:9 Squeeze
Cinema - 14:9 Letter Box
Wide - Progressively Stretched
When watching regular cable broadcasts at 480p, all the above show the image utilizing the entire screen but differences are very little. Any further explanation would be appreciated.
