new speakers w/ static?

new JMLab Chorus 716's, sound great and then some but....

When I start up the CD player, there's slight static on some high frequency notes (I think, hard to tell), upon warm up, it's gone.

Left speaker only. right's fine. Hmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnn????????????

Any advice on how to troubleshoot? Or any other thoughts?

let me try that; negates problems at all other sources. Thanks, Jim
