CD Player and Sound Card

I have hooked up my CD Player to my PC speakers to compare sound quality between sound card and CD Player gives more clear sound. I have onboard soundmax I know you are going to say "get better sound card" I know soundmax should give the same sound quality If not better so I would like to know what Is going on?

So you're comparing a $6 onboard sound card against a dedicated standalone CD player? Of course the CD player is going to sound better.
