Does anyone know if PAL Region "0" DVD's will play on a new NTSC DVD player like Harmon Kardon 31? The way I understand this is just because a DVD is region free ("0") doesn't mean anything if its a PAL DVD and you have an NTSC system or vice versa. Any help elaborating on this process would be appreciated. Thanks

PAL and NTSC are 2 different systems. DVD's recorded in PAL have more lines than NTSC. Thus, PAL offers superior picture to NTSC.
I live in Thailand which is a country in NTSC region but I order DVD's from Europe and Australia. Now I am having around 200 DVD's in PAL. To my eyes, regular PAL DVD has better picture than Superbit NTSC DVD.
Therefore, you should not be troubled with not playing NTSC DVD's. Anyway, the manual should specify whether the HK 31 can play NTSC or the dealer must know.
Hope this might help.
FYI: I am using Denon 5900, Marantz VP-12S2 Projector, and 80" screen.
