I've gotten an Altec Lansing 1270 power amplifier. The unit is rated over 200wpc into 8 ohms. It is an industrial looking beast with cooling fans, etc. A friend of mine says this is actually an excellent audiophile amplifier. Is this assessment on the up and up??
I haven't plugged it into the system & tried it yet, but I'm eager to do so.
