Hi:
I'm putting together a new system and thinking of going over to the McIntosh side. I'm looking at (possibly) an older McIntosh 4280 receiver and would like to match some bookshelf-type speakers. I've heard great things about the Energy Veritas 2.2i and have also read that the McIntosh LS320s are quite nice. What's your opinion? The price range between these speakers is considerable but is the 2x to 3x increase in price for the LS320s justified? I listen to everything (except some Rap and Hip Hop), mostly from Rock to Classical and in between. I might also be hooking up a Phase Linear 400 Series II that I have to this combination, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not.
Thanks,
cbrose
