What do you guys think would be the best LCD for under $2500?

What are some key features and standards too look for?

I was looking at the Panasonic 50" PT-50LC14.

What do you guys think of that model?

Thanks

Mike

I did the Sony 60" 60WF655 from www.electronics-expo.com for $2,732 shipped. Got here fast, flawless and this unit rocks. I'm using the cable card and love it. Want to try a new DVD player with DVI/HDMI outs. EE has them listed at $3,699 right now, full retail because they are sold out. Keep checking the website because when they are in the sell them for like $2,500 + $200 shipping and they go fast. The 55", 55WF655 can be had for $300 less. So right at your budget of $2,500.

Hope this helps.

Is there a reason you want LCD specifically?

May want to try Toshiba 52hm94 DLP for $2300 to your door from onecall. And yes, they are an authorized Toshiba dealer.

I HT guy told me to stay away from the DLP, because of to many moving parts. Not sure if thats true.

On the moving parts, the color wheel moves and the little mirrors on the chip move. This situation theoretically presents more opportunities for problems with DLP than with LCD, but I haven't heard that it has resulted in a significantly higher rate of failure. If you like DLP, and you don't see rainbows, I wouldn't see any problem buying one. To me, price, availability, and subjective impressions are more important considerations.
