Did any of you try powering a 4 ohm speaker with your Marantz? Mine says it's safe from 6-16 ohms, just wondering if it shut down early because I' thinking about building some speakers that everage at about 4 ohms. I have an SR-5200. Thanks everyone.

Not all 4 ohm speakers are created equal. Some are much harder drives than others. But, with the Marantz, you should be okay unless you want to play stupid loud.
