Has anyone heard from SDAT speakers (Super Digital audio Technology)? Are they any good?

The only SDAT I know of is PS Audio's trademarked Super Digital Amplification Technology, which they use on their switching amplifiers. Honestly, its Paul's hopped up version of the well known ICE topology that others designers such as Jeff Rowland use.
A quick google of the SDAT you are talking about revealed these speakers. (http://store.yahoo.com/buyessex/sdsbprbospwi.html) Now, I don't know about you, but any time a claimed $1,299.00 speaker is suddenly selling for $91 bucks, I call bullsh!t. These look to be nothing more than another "white van" style of scam.
Still, if you think they sound good, for $90 bux who cares what anyone else thinks?

Yes, I have some of their SDAT SB-E639D speakers, the best sounding speakers that they make. Don't let the cheap price FOOL you, these are great sounding speakers that have been compared to speakers $2000 and higher! Can we see some response graphs or more technical information please? The numbers on the web page tell me nothing about the performance.
200-watt maximum power = essentially meaningless
2-way design (tweeter and woofer) = Yes, a two way design is a tweeter and a woofer
Sensitivity 87dB = Ok
Frequency response 20-20000 Hz = With what amount of variance?
Impedance 6 ohms = 6 ohm nominal. What are the high and low points and where do they occur?
Dimensions mm 48 x 18 x 12 (H W D) = Tall and skinny. Ok.
Is there more?

I've tried to obtain technical info from various sources about SDAT and wasn't able to get anywhere. What we do know is that SDAT builds Chinese made knock-offs of more popular designs.
That isn't necessarily a bad thing provide it's a good copy of a decent design. So far, I've only read one competent review on the speakers.

Kenny Li is going to let 5 people over on the ecoustics forum try out his SDAT SB-E639 speakers for FREE, just pay shipping. I don't know if he will let anyone else try some out but you can E-mail him and see kenny@sdatgroup.com http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/1/145226.html

That's the resonant frequency of Chinese MDF (aka pressboard) when it falls down a flight of stairs.
Are those the SDAT's with the 8" drivers or 4" ones? :-)
Honestly, if kenny wants to send me a pair of 880's for review, I'll be happily objective in my analysis.

NO, it had FedEx on the side of the truck.........NO, the bookshelf speakers will not go down to 20hz.....But the SB-E639D's will go down in the lower 20's........

Well there are many specs and i have a speaker here that was reviewed (or paid) down to 28Hz and there is no way it even touches the middle 30's. If you advertiste a speaker for over a grand and then tell me its on sale for 90bucks which is lower than most entry cables i dont think its good. Simply reason, he will not make a loss so the thing is worse than 90 bucks since he makes money, pays for the parts, advertising etc.... I would be gladly proven wrong, he can send me a sample.

When people ask me direct questions about my speakers, I give them direct answers. Something is amiss here.

Hello, the genious has your answer. The actual corperate empire is farely new so the sought out info is very hard to find. What you are looking for is The Essex Technology Group. Their main website which has all you need is www.essextechgroup.com.
When the series name SDAT came out I did some research on the engineering methods of the company. I'd say with the proper care you will get what you need and maybe even more.
Would I buy them?
No, I can afford to engineer and produce my own audio devices.

It simply isn't possible to sell commercially a high-quality speaker for $90. Not even if it were in China.
