I've got a Rotel RMB-1075 5 channel amp and when it's been on for a while, and I turn it off, about ten seconds later it makes this weird little whirring noise like something's decelerating. Anyone have any idea what this could be or if this is normal?

Seems like the logical place to start.

Could it be the fan decelerating? No, of course not....

I emailed rotel and they are taking their time to get back to me, the people here usually give good, quick answers. I suppose this particular question would be better left to tech support, but I thought I'd give it a try here anyway. I also thought it may be a fan, but it's kind of an awkward sound that quickly goes from high to low pitch (doesn't really sound like a fan), so I was just wondering if fans in amps would make a sound like this or if this was common. Thanks for any help

I hope you did specify to the Rotel people where the sound is coming from (the speakers or the amp?).
