i got meself a little nifty Btech 926 which sounds amazing compared to my previous piece of crap preamp, and i couldnt resist the urge of opening it up. Though i expected it, i found an OPamp chip instead of sth a bit more substantial.
HOWEVER considering that opamp chips go for about a dime a piece, i was wondering whether it can be upgraded. the op chip in question is a TI NE5532P. i was wondering if there is anything better than this and if i can just desolder this one and solder the better one in or is the whole circuit designed around the particular specs of that chip?
