I don't have a link handy on this Cris Kirkwood story, but apparently he attacked a security guard in a Post Office in Arizona & the security guard shot him. From what I read, he's in critical condition. It sure didn't sound as though his behavior was remotely reasonable. But it should be noted that I just saw a story that purported to be from an Arizona newspaper & didn't bother trying to track it down. But I understand he is a troubled guy, so maybe it's not much of a surprise.
But what I also saw is that Pete Townshend is giving an interview to a UK newspaper in which he reveals that he contemplated suicide last year during the period when he was arrested under suspicion of having downloaded child pornography.

Ya happy, Finch? Hey, I'm making a Chili Peppers comp of my own. If you have Show Me Your Soul...I didn't check the thread where I guess you put a tracklist...I want it. Is that on there?

I never did get it. I don't even know if it's any good- I haven't heard it. I know they have quite a few "unreleased" songs out there, and quite a few are dogs. There's a couple on my comp ;)
I have a song called 'How Strong' that came close to being included. It's on the Music For Our Mother Ocean compilation (not on any RHCP discs), but it just didn't thrill me.
It was a fun comp to make, and the cover turned out especially well.
I'm eager to see what songs yours consists of. Hope you can find 'Show Me...'

I have "Show Me Your Soul" and it's a good song. I've always liked it and actually bought the stellar Pretty Woman soundtrack just to get it (well, that and the Peter Cetera song). I can get it to either or both of you guys, but it probably won't be in time to include on Jay's compilation if you're finalizing it any time soon.

Dammit, man- why did you wait so long to tell us? I'd redo my comp, but this would be the second time. Hmmm, maybe I could add a 3rd disc? Geeze, I guess I could just include every one of their fricking songs, eh? :p
If you don't mind, could you send it to me? Maybe finish off the disc with something else I might like? Would you want a compy of my comp in return, or maybe something else from my collection? Huh? Huh? Huh??

Because I like to make you suffer.
Actually, I've been so busy, I haven't been keeping up on all of these threads, including the RHCP one(s). I have all the Chili Peppers I really want right now, but thanks for the offer. Don't worry about sending anything in return - I think you've sent me a lot more stuff than I've sent you and I have quite a few CDs I haven't even opened yet.
It'll likely be a week or so before I get it to you. Things are crazy at work right now and I'm heading out of town again tomorrow. I'll put some other stuff on the disc I think you might like. You have the latest Killing Joke (self-titled), right?
