<img src=http://www.lagunitas.com/images/beers_censored_main.gif align=left hspace=10>but I hate Circuit City and it was $13.99, which is about $3 more than you can get it all over the net. Why do people shop there? Why was I there? Well, we were trying on some running shoes next door and wanted to get a USB memory stick, so wandered in to look around, and the memory sticks were way too expensive, but anytime I see a music section I have to look...but the CDs aren't even in labelled sections or anything. Oh well, I guess this new BSP is gonna be pretty popular if it's on the CC shelves. Wonder how they got so popular? Wonder if I had anything to do with it? Hehehe, guess this new one plays it a little safer than that wild band I grew to love on their stellar debut. Or maybe they just ironed out some of the rough edges? Cool cover that looks nice and solid in person, but just a cheap digipak.

Anyone have it yet? Guess I should just go ahead and order it and hear for myself :)

Got one of those Lagunitas Censored Ales finding its way from the bottle to my brain right now, and it makes me happy...what about you?

The Censored
Rich Copper Ale
This ale contains no actual copper but we're pretty literal... It looked coppery, so we lamely called it a copper ale. Lots'a nice caramel malt though...

Alcohol 7.7% by volume

I have it, but I've only spun it once. It sounded alright, but nothing blew me away (so far). I haven't had a lot of free time lately and have been having a tough time pulling this out of my player to make room for anything else:

I have it, and it's ok. Nothing to get too excited about. My first couple of listens were distracted so I figured that's why it didn't really grab me. I'm painting the outside of my house now so I have spun it in the discman several times thinking surely that would show me the way. I guess there's just nothing really in there to hold my attention. It's certainly not bad but so far it's been anything but memorable for me.

Oh, well, I only paid 10 bucks for it and I've ended up with a lot worse for a lot more cash.

Well I've just got it and I love it. Sure the sound is more polished with some big names brought in and subsequently a bigger production, it's not as in yer face as the last one but that's fine by me. It's a killer album lots of shimmering guitars and hooks a plenty. How can anybody not love track 5 Please Stand Up with a lovely little transition into track 6 North Hanging Rock it should be right up your street Davey. It will make my top ten of the year without a doubt.

To those who haven't heard the album and fancy a dabble it's an upbeat affair with a Teardrop Explodes/Psychedelic Furs, 60's/80's psychedelic English folk sound if that makes any sense, well I know what I mean!

Cheers

I was so-so with the last one. I thought Remember Me was a fantastic song, but most of the rest of the album left me a bit flat. Anything that good on this one?

:D Go order it Dave you know you want it ... Well I've just got it and I love it.
Yea, I did order it yesterday. Had a shopping spree going at overstock.com with a 10% off coupon and picked up a few CDs and a watch and some running shoes. One stop shopping. Or how to blow $200 on a Sunday afternoon without really trying. But at least I got $20 of it back with the coupon and shipping is only $2.95 :)

Wow, didn't know there was a new Okkervil River out! I gotta pay more attention around here. So spill the beans! You know I love those guys. Guess it must be good if it's all you've been listening to. Was the last one a favorite of yours?

It's damn good. Mostly a mellow affair, with a country tint, and some strings and horns thrown in for good measure. There are a couple songs that up the tempo a bit (one of which reminds me of the Good Life or Possum Dixon), and although they seem a bit out of place, they are good songs nonetheless. I never got the last one, but I have Don't Fall In Love With Everyone You See., and this one is much more mature and more enjoyable.

Edit: Very positive review here (http://www.stylusmagazine.com/review.php?ID=2891).
