Have you heard this yet? Kind of a bluesy version of Dave Matthews.

People that like Dave are usually into the whole jam-band thing (At my school at least...). So, you may also enjoy OAR, Bela Fleck and the Fleckstones, The String Cheese Incident, Phish, The Greatfull Dead, Wilco, Keller Willams, Widespread Panic, Soulive, Galactic, and of course...Peter Frampton.

And dude, Tom Petty is so kick ass its amazing.

If all else fails, just walk down the aisle of a genre that intrest you and pick up a disc that looks intriguing. I have done this on multiple occasions and discovered something I absolutly love.

Sounds to me like you might like Gomez. Not a Jam-Band, which is not my cup-o-tea, but certainly nice bluesy riffs. Check them out Here (http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE4781DDA47AB7520C994364BDBB17DE629D342 FD831F6E4954C0BE3846890270E350E9DDD2B9E577B479AAB3 26AE5808D9CBEA468DA1&sql=11:3gu67uy070jg). I'm partial to their first album; Bring It On.

Other possibilities: Jon Spencer Blues Explosion

If the focus is straight-ahead rock ala Tom Petty I suggest checking out:

Spoon - Girls Can Tell
Chisel - Set You Free
The White Stripes - White Blood Cells

And little more jam oriented:

Built To Spill - Perfect From Now On

And somewhat proggy ala Yes:

Sunny Day Real Estate - The Rising Tide

Lots more suggestions on tap but that ought to keep you occupied for a while :)

My girlfriend is a Guster and DMB fan. Guster has a similar vibe. They are mostly accoustic driven, and while they don't jam as much they definitely look like they are fun live (she's made me watch their live DVD more than once). The percussionist is pretty freaking badass.

If you're looking for jam-band type stuff, this looks like a good resource:

As maybe the resident jam band aficionado back when i was a regular poster a year or so ago, i can highly recommend the following:

Jerry Garcia Band (there's a few incarnations of this, all of them good. Acoustic Band is bluegrass, then there's his regular band. Also has some albums with David Grisman and Tony Rice)

Blue Merle - a new band out of Nashville has the same vibe as DMB... Burning in the Sun is the name of their album out right now.

Assembly of Dust - fronted by Reid Genaur formerly of Strangefolk (another stellar band worth checking out). Has a live album out that reminds me a lot of the Band's "Last Waltz" in terms of energy and sound. It's a rock album that jams.

Acoustic Junction - a band fronted by Reed Foehl (who has now gone solo). "Strange Days" is the album i'd start with.

Blind Boys of Alabama - good ol' fashioned gospel and blues.

Yonder Mountain String Band - If you can stomach traditional bluegrass with a twist, this band flat out rocks. Right now my favorite band to see live.

If you're into progressive jazz i could make a few more recommendations....

If you like Dave, you'll like Monte Montgomery for sure.
