Hello,

I have bought for cheap a SONY Wireless Speaker System; I have 2 speakers, an input adapter but I don't have the transmitter so they are useless.

My question is : Can I just convert/modify the speakers to use them with a speaker wire (non-wireless)?

The speakers (model SA-IF70S) have an AC cord on their back, I guess they are amplified, they are quite heavy.

What is the best way to do that?

I know that the infra-red system is not that good (i.e. signal can be cut if you sit in front of the speaker) so what I need to know is; do I just need to put a wire on the speaker or I need to place a resistance or something like that?

depending on the amp, you may be able to run line level to these units, and use the built in amps...

this may require soldering an rca connector...

in the event this is not possible for one reason or another, disconnecting the built in amp, and just running wire from your receiver directly to the speaker(s) would work, but be advised the crossover is mostlikely built into the amp so doing this would run all the speakers full range...
