Tune Horz/Vert

I have a Pioneer TX 9100 Tuner. On the back there are 2 RCA jacks labeled Horizontal and the other Vertical.

What do these do? How do I use them?

I think Pioneer mad a matching oscilloscope around that time and that is probably what they are meant for, although with enough knowhow they could probably be used with any oscilloscope.

For more on their implementation on this unit, you would need someone with the owner's manual in order to find this out. Generally, they were used to minimize multipath.
