He used to be one of up and coming actors back in the 80s (American Gigolo, An Officer and Gentleman), but lately his resume is full of forgettable and boring romantic movies. Saw Autumn in New York (with Winona Ryder) against my better judgement, and almost fell asleep (matter of fact I did :D).

And if that wasn't enough, here are more sleep aids:

Didn't he get rave reviews for Chicago? I thought he was pretty good in Primal Fear.

Shall We Dance was actually good and one of his better roles. Primal Fear was great. What about Unfaithful and Chicago as well.

i heard they were playing golf once, and the Dali told him, "gunga.. gunga gadunga" that on his death bed, he'll achieve enlightenment.... so he's got that going for him..

Whatever happened to this guy?

I'm not sure, but I heard it involved a gerbil.

THANKS EVERYBODY FOR RESPONSES.

Although haven't seen Chicago or Primal Fear, but he might be overdue for a rough and dirty or adventures movie role. I know he got it in him.

Primal fear was kind of the break-out performance for Ed Norton. He gives a thoroughly convincing performance as the accused. Check it out, I think you'll really like it.

There was also that Moth -something or other - prophecies movies. Not bad. Wait, I think that was Gere.

The one thing I remember the most about Gere is when he came on stage at the big fund raising concert just after 9/11 with an audience full of firefighters and police from NYC. He called for forgiveness and tolerance or something like that. He got booed of the stage. What a jackass!

That might have been a wrong comment to such an audience since they were the first ones to take causalities from such an cowardly act..
