I have had a love affair with B&O since the 70's. I have never bought a system new - could never afford one - but I have had a few used ones. To own one is to be on cloud 9. Each is a visual and tactile experience.
The first I owned was a tuner amp Beosomething 1200, I think, which I bought at a jumble sale for £3.50, including a pair of beovox 1702 speakers. It didn't work so I took it to an expert who charged me £20 to tell me it just needed an external arial!
I sold it some 10 years late for £25 only to be told by a late purchaser that he would have paid up to £250 for it!!
I still have the speakers and use them in my office.
I later had a B&O 3500, tuneramp, record deck and casette, plus speakers. Paid £120. It worked fine for a while, then the pretune button pad started to dislodge and it quit. I had several more bits and peices but now only have a Beogram 300 and the speakers I mentioned.
Just owning one of these systems is bliss.
Anybody out there get the same enjoyment as I do?

Hey Garrardman (you're not into them too are you?)
What a fantastic list of B&O items you have. And thanks for the link to beoworld.
I forgot to add that I still have a Beolit 400. Works perfectly but needs a good cleanup. Can you tell me how to remove the front and back panels?

Michael,

Yes i am into Garrard as well and used to have over 80 different models of their turntables. Sadly i lost my storage facility and they all had to go. :(

I'm afarid i don;t know much about the Beolit 400 and so can't advise how to remove the panels but i'm sure someone on Beoworld will know.

Adam.

Have a pair of B&O Penta speakers from bought in 1987 (I think). I use them as fronts in my home theater system.
