What the ???? how come my original post now has links to cell phones... ?
Any thoughts concerning the type of headphones i.e. radio wave vs infer red iI guess
are 2 options .
Because this site is an advertising crazy place. They probably need the money to keep it going and we're all too cheap to donate -- or just broke buying uber expensive componants.

With headphones, I know people love to recommend amplifiers for portable units, but if you are going from a $1000.00+ receiver's headphone out, you think you still need one? Would it make *that* much of a difference if any? Also, would you need one for the headphone out on say a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 w/ the external box? Just wondering, thanks guys...
