Guys, just got back from a family trip to Walt Disney World. Had an experience I just had
to share.

Epcot is supposed to be a view of future technologies and lifestyles.
I just couldn't resist the demonstration of the "Home Theater of the Future"

The presentation turned out to be a comercial for Luxcon(?) light dimmers.
The tv was good, a Sony SXBR 70" 1080p Lcos.

But the "advanced" surround sound? A Bose lifestyle system. Even my
9 year old could tell the difference. I have seen plenty of people bash Bose
on this site, and I personally never had the experience of listening to one.

The sound was missing the lower 1/2 of the bass. I would bet it bottoms out
at about 60hz. There was just nothing there. It's too bad someone else
didn't get in there first and have a real system to listen to.

Just had to share.......

This is interesting. The last time I went, they had a JBL synthesis system installed, and it sounded pretty good for a JBL system.

They have the same thing at Disneyland here on the West Coast. I haven't been since last summer and while they were using a Bose system, they sure weren't using that $10K Sony. That LCoS tv is supposed to be the one that blew everyone away at the CES this year. I'd love to see it!
