Anyone looking for an AV receiver should check out ubid.com. They are selling off large quantities of product right now. Marantz SR8400. Yamaha RXV650. RXV450. Onkyo SR602. SR502.

They have (53) of the Marantz, which is amazing. I just picked up a Yamaha RXV650 for $299.00. No one even bid on them.

Not a solicitation for business, just letting word out.

i just saw the yamaha 5760 for $289 at fry's today- not too bad!

If I recall, that is the equivalent unit, "last years" model, in the HTR series. Of all the liquidators I had looked at, I forgot about Fry's. I shopped there once in Las Vegas. Wish we had them around here.

I was looking for the least-costly 5.1 receiver with pre-outs. I tried to order the HTR, but was given a bait and switch by an online vendor. Cancelled the order. The RXV650 seems to go for about $350.00 plus shipping. In that regard, ubid is a real deal.

I am going to watch those Marantz units, how low they go for. Curious.

There are 130 Marantz 8400's, top bid is $150.00. I don't think there will be 130 serious bidders. Get them while you can.
